Myositis is uncommon, so many clinicians see it rarely. The Centre runs education for physicians and allied health so that expertise spreads, and patients everywhere benefit.
Case-based educational rounds held each month, bringing together rheumatology, neurology, and allied health to work through real myositis cases and the latest evidence.
A yearly symposium for allied health professionals and physicians, covering the newest thinking in myositis diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Co-founded by our team, RheumAcademy is Canada's rheumatology education platform for allied health professionals. It offers online and in-person courses that build practical skills in rheumatic disease, including inflammatory muscle disease.
The Centre's clinicians teach medical students, residents, and rheumatology and neurology trainees, and contribute to the University of Toronto's ACPAC advanced-practice program that trains physiotherapists and occupational therapists in rheumatic care.
